Why a children's bath bomb is its own thing.
Adult bath bombs are made for a quiet candlelit soak. Kids' bath bombs need to do something different - they need to spark a story, hold up to splash-storms, and rinse off skin that's still figuring out how to be skin.
At Kind & Fern we aim to source skin-friendly, plant-based and environmentally-friendly ingredients, avoiding excessive chemicals and plastic-based ones. We use whisper-soft scents, skin-safe colour, and absolutely no glitter or microplastics. The fizz is the spectacle; the formula stays gentle.
And because we're parents too, every bomb is designed to spark a small moment - a splash of colour, a fizzy surprise, a five-minute connection with your little one.

Quick questions, honest answers.
- What age are your bath bombs suitable for?
- Our bath bombs are designed for children aged 3 and up, and are especially loved by 3–8 year olds. As always, you know your child best - patch test if you're unsure and supervise bath time.
- Are these bath bombs safe for sensitive skin?
- We aim to source skin-friendly, plant-based and environmentally-friendly ingredients, avoiding excessive chemicals and plastic-based ones. For very sensitive skin or eczema, please check the full ingredient list on each product and chat to your GP if you're unsure.
- Do bath bombs stain the tub or skin?
- No, not with normal use - drop it straight into the water and you shouldn't see any staining on the tub or skin, and we've had zero reports of bath staining. If a bath bomb is gripped or held for a while instead, you might see a little colour linger on skin - it's cosmetic and food grade, so it fades just like a blackberry or beetroot stain would. The one thing to watch is porous surfaces like marble or quartz, which can hold onto colour a bit like a coffee ring.
- Are your bath bombs vegan?
- Yes - every Kind & Fern bath bomb is vegan and cruelty-free.
- Are your bath bombs made in the UK?
- Yes - every Splash Edit is lovingly put together in Hitchin, UK, and we source components from the UK wherever we can.
- Do your bath bombs contain glitter or microplastics?
- No. We avoid glitter and plastic-based fillers entirely - anything that goes down the drain should be kind to the planet, not just to little skin.
- How many bath bombs should my child use at once?
- One per bath is plenty. More fizz just means more fragrance and colour on the skin - and the bubbles, swirls and surprises in a single bomb are designed to do all the heavy lifting on their own.
In case of irritation, please rinse thoroughly and stop use. If the condition worsens, seek medical advice.
